New Release Club
Thanks for supporting my work, and welcome to The New Release Club for paid subscribers.
As the club’s name suggests, paid subscribers receive a free ebook for each new release during the time they are subscribed. New subscribers are also entitled to whatever the most recent previous release was.
I’m not the world’s fastest writer, so there probably won’t be more than one or two a year. But given the discounted nature of my subscriptions, you’d still get most of your subscription costs back in ebooks.
It’s also possible that writing so much for Substack will increase my new release rate. As of August, 2024, I’ve ordered four covers from my designer (for one short story anthology and three serials (one complete and two in progress). Those will certainly be available to paid subscribers. Those that don’t end up becoming retail products will also be available to free subscribers.
You can redeem your free books in a couple of ways:
as Amazon gifts (which works for US subscribers or others willing to redeem through the US store)
as EPUB or PDF files emailed directly to you or distributed through BookFunnel, depending on circumstances and your preferences.
If the new release happens to be book 2 or greater in a series, you can opt to receive an earlier series book instead. (It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to get a free Book 9 when you don’t have Book 1.) Since some of you will be people who already own some of my books, you may also decide to substitute a completely different book.
That’s all there is to it. When you first sign up as a paid subscriber, and for each subsequent new release, all you have to do is fill out your preferences on this form. As collections of my Substack work become available, I’ll create similar forms for you to request them.
Free and paid subscribers are also entitled to ebook copies of two of my old, shorter works, which you can claim here and here.
If you aren’t a subscriber yet, but the idea of those free books is sending tingles down your spine, all you have to do is subscribe. If you want the additional new release benefit, just update your free subscription to paid.
Hungry for even more books and other benefits? Consider upgrading to founding level, which is described here.
